About the photograph

At the core of this landscape stands the mighty Vatnajökull glacier, a vast expanse of ice that has carved its way through Iceland’s raw terrain over thousands of years. As its meltwater journeys toward the lowlands, it spreads into a stunning maze of braided rivers, weaving patterns that feel almost unreal. One of the most breathtaking natural spectacles I’ve ever encountered.
